About the Project
Learn about Piura LNG's strategic location, infrastructure, and technical capabilities
Location & Infrastructure
Piura LNG is strategically positioned near the port of Paita in northern Peru, offering direct access to key Pacific shipping routes and Asian markets. The project leverages existing infrastructure and port facilities while providing connectivity to regional industrial centers.
- Nearshore location with access to Paita Port
- FLNG deployment or onshore phase based on feed gas scale
- Optimized for both domestic supply and export markets

Feed Gas Sourcing Strategy
Piura LNG is sourcing feed gas from multiple available upstream blocks in the Piura basin and nearby areas. The project has developed a comprehensive strategy to ensure reliable gas supply for the liquefaction process.
Regional Upstream Blocks
Access to multiple gas blocks in the Piura basin, providing diversified supply sources.
Pipeline Infrastructure
Planned pipeline network with optimized distances to minimize transportation costs and environmental impact.
Gas Quality Parameters
Estimated GCV/MMBtu and Wobbe Index ranges optimized for efficient liquefaction process.
Modular Design & Scalability
Phase 1: 0.5–1.0 MTPA
The initial phase will utilize FLNG (Floating LNG) or barge-based technology to enable rapid deployment and minimize upfront capital requirements.

Phase 2: 2–3 MTPA
The expansion phase will implement modular onshore liquefaction facilities with the capability for further capacity increases as demand grows.

Modular Advantages
